TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Pita Pit is making sure we stay healthy in 2016, without having to sacrifice any flavor.
James Buck, general manager the Tallahassee location, joined us on WTXL Sunrise with tips to make a nutritious and tasty hummus pita.
Pitas are a good option over bread for those looking to cut some calories. Pita Pit offers white and wheat.
Beck filled the hummus pita with the traditional toppings: a base of hummus, then spinach, black olives, tomatoes and cucumbers. Then, spread a some tzatziki on the pita itself.
Beck says the Tallahassee locale uses fresh pitas that don't have any preservatives and locally-source ingredients.
