HAVANA, FL (WTXL) -- Many families celebrate Christmas with a tree, but what happens to real trees that don't get sold by the holiday?
Will Sellers, owner of Havana Christmas Tree Farm, says it's been a relatively busy year.
"We've sold roughly 800 trees this year," Sellers said. "We're getting ready to pull stumps and replant and get ready for next year."
The trees that don't get sold stay at the farm and don't get discarded.
"We fertilize them, trim them, get them ready for next year," Sellers said.
The farm is already getting ready for next year's season.
"We pull the stumps and replant roughly 2,500 trees," Sellers said. "They grow roughly a foot a year, maybe a little bit more. And we fertilize them and trim them and take care of them."
