TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department is saying that all westbound lanes of Miccosukee Rd. are closed to traffic after a fatal accident.
Police say to closure is due to the crash of a single vehicle on Miccosukee and Surgeons Dr.
It appears that the driver lost control and crashed the drivers side of the vehicle directly into a utility pole, according to police.
A witness on-scene is saying they saw the car moving at a fast pace down the road prior to the accident.
Police are not releasing the cause of the accident, age, name or race of the deceased male driver until the next of kin has been notified. No other individuals were involved in the crash.
The police department cannot give an estimated time for the road to re-open to westbound traffic.
