CARROLLTON, Ga. (AP) - A sorority at the University of West Georgia has been shut down over allegations of hazing.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/1MzVxJx ) reports that the Delta Delta Delta chapter was closed following an investigation of hazing involving several members.
The sorority's national organization didn't release details of the allegations.
The university says activities occurred which violated school policies and the student code of conduct.
Some members of the student group have started an online petition seeking reinstatement. They say the alleged hazing happened several years ago, and that no one under investigation remains at West Georgia.
