TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Department of Corrections cited its response to the effects of Hurricane Michael in cancelling weekend visitation for all facilities statewide.
The cancellation for Saturday, Oct. 13, and Sunday, Oct. 14, is effective through Oct. 15 and includes all major institutions, work camps, work release centers and annex facilities, a news release said Friday.
The cancellation will allow staffing flexibility to assist in returning institutions back to normal operations, officials said.
