ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Orlando has been picked the nation's most pet-friendly city by a personal finance website.
WalletHub last week chose Orlando has the top city for pets, and put Tampa in third place.
Orlando ranked at the top for the number of veterinarians per capita, the number of pet businesses per capita and the number of animal shelters per capita.
Other criteria used included veterinary care costs, the number of pet-friendly restaurants and city's walkability.
Other cities in the top 10 were Birmingham, Alabama; Lexington, Kentucky; Scottsdale, Arizona; Reno, Nevada; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Cincinnati; Las Vegas; and St. Louis.
