MONTICELLO, Fla. (WTXL) - It's all about the watermelon this weekend in Monticello.
Downtown Monticello is home to this year's Watermelon Festival, complete with a line up of arts and crafts and food vendors, many of them attending for the first time.
It will take place on Dogwood, Cherry, and Pearl streets.
The Monticello-Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce says the festival usually draws in out of town crowds, which is good news for local food venues.
WTXL spoke with a few of the new faces today to see what they expect to gain from the annual tradition.
