Tallahassee, Fla., (WTXL)- The fifth largest retail supermarket chain in America wants you to check your pantry.
Winn-Dixie is issuing a voluntary recall for their brand of 'Italian Style Panko Bread Crumbs.'
According to Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of Winn-Dixie, the 8-ounce packages contain undeclared allergens.
The product is sold in Georgia and Florida stores. The packages have "Best before" dates from 08/18/2018 through 10/18/2018. The bread crumbs should either be thrown away or returned to the store for a full refund.
A similar recall is announced by the USDA. Aldon Food Corporation is recalling 18,570 lbs of chicken salad due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.
The bread crumbs in the salads contain milk. That ingredient is not listed on the labels for "Block & Barrel Imperial" White Meat Chicken salad, and "Market Source" White Meat Chicken Salad among other food items.
