2018 was the fourth hottest year on record, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Adminstraiton reported Wednesday.
According to NOAA, NASA, the United Kingdom Met Office and the World Meteorological Organization all came to the same conclusion.
The last four years are the top four warmest years in recorded history. 2016 was the warmest year on record, followed by 2015, 2017 and 2018.
The NOAA says that 2018 was also the fourth costliest year on record. The nation saw 14 billion dollar disasters in 2018, which were responsible for at least 247 deaths and $91 billion in losses.
