VALDOSTA, Ga-- Friday afternoon, officers arrested a man in connection to multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine and giving a false name.
John Wesley Walton was found hiding under Grand Bay Creek bridge on US 84 in Naylor.
Walton was also wanted for stealing a car, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, and additional warrants from the US Marshal Service in Jackson, MS. for attempted murder of law enforcement.
Walton is currently in the Lowndes County Jail.
Sheriff Prine stated “We have put in a lot of time trying to locate John Walton and worked with the United States Marshall’s. I am extremely proud he has been arrested without any incident.”
