Walt McNeil Projected as Next Leon County Sheriff

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - 150 out of 153 precincts have reported and Walt McNeil is the likely winner in the race for Leon County Sheriff.

McNeil has 45 percent of the vote. 

Mike Wood, who was appointed Sheriff of Leon County in 2015 following the death of Leon County Sheriff Larry Campbell, has 23 percent.

Tommy Mills has 6 percent and Charlie Strickland has 24 percent of the votes.
