MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) - You'll soon have a chance to take a 'Walk Through Living History' in the upcoming 2018 Season of Emancipation.
Major Jarvis Rosier and Tonja Webb joined us in studio to explain.
The 7th Annual Emancipation and Abolitionist Ball is taking place Friday, May 18 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Florida National Guard Armory (1225 Easterwood Drive).
The Walk Through Living History Festival Parade and Day in the Park is happening Saturday, May 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will go from Okaloosa Street to Speed Spencer Stephens Park (1907 Saxon Street),
Lastly, the Wreath-laying Ceremony and Salute to Fallen U.S.C.T. Soldiers will take place Sunday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Old City Cemetery (400 W. Park Avenue).
All events are free, with the exception of the Ball. Tickets for the ball are $50 per ticket and $400 per reserved table.
