WAKULLA CO., FL (WTXL) - A local high school is providing more opportunities for students, who may not be going away to college.
Wakulla high school is preparing students to go straight into the workforce after receiving their diplomas.
They invited WTXL out to take a closer look at their vocational training program.
Superintendent Robert Pearce stresses that in any high school you want to establish a balance between college readiness and job-training preparation.
And that's just what Wakulla High has done.
In it's partnership with Lively Technical Center, they have created the welding program at the high school.
The program gives the students a jump start and helps them move into the workforce or to move into academia at the next level.
