WAKULLA COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - After Taylor County officials took to social media to push for federal money for storm repairs, Wakulla County Sheriff's Office has followed suit, encouraging citizens to file a claim on Facebook Friday.

Wakulla County was not included in the latest set of counties approved for individual assistance as a result of Hurricane Hermine. This means Wakulla residents and small businesses cannot get federal aid.

The Sheriff's Office asked for residents to submit their claims to FEMA if they experienced damages from the hurricane, so FEMA can recognize the needs of their citizens.

To file a claim to FEMA, you can click here for an online application, or you can call at 1(800) 621-3362.
