WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Wakulla County Commission will vote on a proclamation tonight that would address racism and discrimination in the county.
According to their agenda, they will consider adopting a proclamation that would declare zero tolerance towards racism and racial discrimination, or another that would establish a zero tolerance attitude towards all types of discrimination.
This decision follows the vandalism of three predominately black churches with the letters "KKK," and in light of social media posts made by Wakulla County deputies about racial tension in Ferguson, Missouri that left two of those deputies on an unpaid suspension.
