Wakulla County Sergeant's Gun Discharge Called An Accident

WAKULLA COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - A Wakulla sergeant's firearm discharged inside a Wakulla County Sheriff's Office's administrative offices has been called an accident, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

The Democrat reported that there was an internal investigation after Sgt. Lorne Whaley's service pistol fell on the ground and fired into a wall when he was trying to place it into a weapons locker before entering the jail on August 2nd.

According to the Democrat, no one was injured from the incident.
