WAKULLA COUNTY, FL (WTXL) - Wakulla County Commissioners are expected to take up a measure opposing the Foley Pipeline project at it's next meeting.
The pipeline is expected to run through Taylor County and carry waste from the the Foley Celluslose Plant. Environmental groups and residents have also opposed the pipeline, citing health risks.
However, Georgia Pacific and the Foley Cellulose Mill said they are committed to meeting clean water standards and protecting Florida's waterways.
The commission will also hear concerns from the public about the project.
