Wakulla Co. Sheriff's Office holding blood drive

WAKULLA CO, Fla. -- The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) will host a blood drive on Wednesday, July 24, from 2:30-4:15 p.m.

Interested donors are asked to make a an appointment through the WCSO's Public Information Officer, Keith Blackmar, by calling 850-745-7110, or e-mailing kblackmar@wcso.org. However, no appointment is required and walk-ons are welcome.

In addition to giving blood that might save a life, donors will also receive perks for their service. All who donate will receive a t-shirt, a $5 coupon off two entrees from Outback Steakhouse and a wellness checkup including cholesterol screening. In addition, OneBlood has partnered with Outback Steakhouse to provide a free steak dinner to anyone who donates blood twice between June 1 and September 30. All donors will be entered to win “Outback for a Year” of free vouchers for Outback steaks.

The event will take place at the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office parking lot.
