VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB)- Valdosta State University Public Relations Student Society of America will host its 2nd Annual Public Relations Celebration, themed Crisis to Hope: Healing Orlando.
An array of guest speakers who directly handled the media after the deadly mass shooting in June of 2016, will openly examine the aftermath.
Panelist will walk students through the process of crisis management practiced at that time.
"Crisis happen all the time and rarely are we prepared for it," said VSU President John Gayle. "So this gives the Valdosta community here as well as the students, the opportunity to see crisis management at it's finest."
The event is set for Mar. 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the University Center Magnolia Room.
This event is open to the public with a $35 ticket purchase. All proceeds go to VSU Patterson Public Relations Student Travel Scholarship.
