VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - Eric Sheppard, a former Valdosta State University student connected to the recent american flag protests at the school, released a video and letter, making threats to anyone who interferes with protesters at Lowndes High's Saturday graduation ceremony.
Protestors are expected at the graduation because of the case of Kendrick Johnson, a student who was found dead in gym mat at the school in 2013. His death was ruled accidental, but people, including his family think otherwise.
Johnson would have graduated high school this year.
Deputies say they have amped up security for the campus Saturday.
The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, along with Valdosta Police, have established a designated area for protesters.
