VALDOSTA, Ga. — At 6 p.m. on Monday, March 11, Valdosta State will host an interactive and informative panel discussion about the state of Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program. Students, parents, teachers, and other interested community members are urged to attend.
The panel will include current HOPE recipients, financial aid representatives, and a presentation by Janice Barrocas of HOPE for Georgia. They will discuss previous changes to the HOPE Scholarship and newly proposed changes that will affect the students of South Georgia. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions.
The event will be held in the University Center Magnolia Room. It is sponsored by HOPE for Georgia and VSU’s Student Government Association, Office of Financial Aid, and NAACP.
