VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta State University has moved and revamped its Academic Support Center. The Center is now at the school's library.
It's a hub for students to get tutoring and get other work done for school. The renovations and move, cost about 1.2 million dollars.
The director said this is a great place for any student who needs tutoring or is worried about the stigma of tutoring.
"We really want to normalize tutoring for students., so when you come into our space you see a lot of people working together but you can’t tell if someone is working with a tutor or a buddy or what," said Shere Peguesse.
She also said data at VSU shows that the more a student goes to tutoring, the more likely they are graduate.
