LOWNDES COUNTY, GA. (WTXL) - Valdosta State University is recognizing Black History Month with a special library collection for February.
The collection shows the role of African Americans in U.S. History. It includes newspapers created by civil rights activists, writings and publications by civil rights journalists, and rare books from the 19th and early 20th Century.
The materials are on display throughout the month of February on the first flood of Odum Library.
