VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta State University (VSU) said about 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015, VSU Police got a call about an armed robbery near campus.
Jessica Pope, spokesperson for VSU, said the initial report had the incident occurring in the 100 block of Ann Street near the University Center.
Pope says about an hour later, VSU Police sent out an all-clear alert, having learned the reported incident did not occur on or near any VSU property. According to Pope, the alleged incident originated from the 600 block of Ann Street and is being investigated by the Valdosta Police Department.
