VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta Police Department is responding to a fatal car crash in the 200 block of Smith Avenue.
Lt. Adam Bembry says that officers were dispatched to the scene on Smith Avenue around 10:45 a.m.
He says that the older man driving the car ran off the road, causing the car to overturn.
The man was found unresponsive at the scene.
VPD says first aid performed on scene by the Valdosta Fire Department and the man was transported by paramedics to the South Georgia Medical Center.
The man later died at the hospital.
Officials say that there was no evidence of alcohol involved in the incident.
An identity has not yet released as officers are waiting to notify family members.
