VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta Police Department arrested Steve Madison on theft charges on Sunday, July 2.
The VPD responded to reports of Theft by Entering Auto. When officers arrived at the scene, they spoke with the victim. The victim stated when they entered a business in 1000 block of East Park Avenue, the offender entered their vehicle and stole multiple items.
The officers on scene contacted the owner of the business for surveillance video, and the offender was identified as a resident in the area.
As police continued their search, the suspect was identified back at the incident location. Police went back to the scene to take Madison into custody.
Madison was transported to Lowndes County Jail, where he is facing felony charges.
