LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - There's been a steady trickle of voters coming in and out of polls across Leon County.
Turnout as of right now is at just over 30 percent and more people have cast their vote in person Tuesday than voted early or by mail.
One poll worker says that while Election Day is long and tough, he finds a simple joy in watching the excitement people feel after casting their ballots.
"Just about everybody is moved a little bit about that," said Bruce Bechard, a poll worker. "They not only see their ballot going into the machine, but the machine talks back to them and gives them a nice little ding and they know that their votes been recorded."
Polls close in Tallahassee at 7 p.m.
