Voters Will Decide Fate of Sunday Alcohol Sales Referendum

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) - People in Thomasville have just over a week left to make their voices heard on a referendum regarding Sunday alcohol sales.

Voters will decide whether to allow alcoholic beverages to be sold by the drink and by the package on Sundays.

Early voting runs until Friday, March 17th at the Thomasville Judicial Center. Frank Scoggins, the Thomas County Election Supervisor, says about 275 people have taken part in early-voting so far. He's hoping turn out will pick up in the coming week.

The official election is next Tuesday, March 21st. Thomasville residents can vote at one of six precincts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on election day.
