TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee's Night to Shine Prom is fast approaching.
This Friday night is all about giving those with special needs the full prom experience. Monday night, volunteers got some training for the event.
The Night to Shine Prom is open to anyone with special needs, ages 14 and older.
The night works on a buddy system. Each guest will have their own trained volunteer with them all night.
Event coordinators are teaching volunteers all the information and support needed for everyone in attendance to have a great night.
Coordinators say they are still 300 volunteers short for the Night to Shine Prom. You can sign up to volunteer here.
