TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-  Lawmakers cleared out their closets on Tuesday.

Volunteer Florida and Uber partnered to host "Suits for Session" in the Capitol Plaza.

Local job-seekers can grab some of the suits at distribution sites with the Florida State University Unconquered Scholars Program.

And Uber passengers can request donation pick up using the Uber app. Drivers will transport packaged clothing to Volunteer Florida's headquarters on Esplanade way, where donations will be accepted until Mar. 2.

The project gives professionals a way to donate their gently used clothing to those starting up in the career world.

"This is a great opportunity for us to contribute to job-seekers. they feel great when they have a new suit on when they're going to an interview," said Volunteer Florida CEO, Vivian Myrtetus. "This is something that they feel great when they're able to put on a new suit, and really gives them confidence when they're looking for a new job."

The event is in its third year and last year, it raised more than 3,000 donations.
