TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL)-- Visit Tallahassee is keeping history alive with it's special tour.
As apart of Visit Tallahassee's T.O.U.R. Guide, Mission San Luis was free of admission for all of those wanting to come out and learn the history of Florida's Apalachee and Spanish Living.
T.O.U.R. Guide gives community members a chance to explore over 30 different attractions in the Tallahassee area all year long.
600 people came out Saturday to enjoy Mission San Luis. The attractions included, hundred of native and colonial artifacts, gardens, scenic hiking trails, and a gift shop. Visitors were also able to participate in activities, such as black-smithing, period cooking, and arts and crafts specifically for children. Those touring the museum were also asked to bring in school supplies for students in Leon County Schools.
Next Month Visit Tallahassee continues it's T.O.U.R. Guide Program by highlighting the Tallahassee Museum on August 20th.
