TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL) - The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Florida Park Service is urging folks to visit a state park or trail this Thanksgiving Day.
Florida has 171 state parks and trails that offer a variety of activities including camping, biking, swimming, hiking and fishing. Many parks will be hosting special events this holiday season. Other parks host events ranging from kayak tours to war re-enactments throughout the year.
Most of the 171 Florida state parks and trails will be open normal hours of 8 a.m. to sunset on Thursday, Nov. 27.
