Victim's Death in Tallahassee Fire Ruled Homicide

TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- The death of a 24-year-old man in Wednesday's fire at a Tallahassee business has been ruled a homicide by the Leon County Sheriff's Office.

Officials confirm the fire was intentionally set at "Exclusive Heat" on 2027 South Adams Street. As firefighters put out the fire, they found the body of owner Aaron Goodwin inside the building.

The State Fire Marshal's Office says an abandoned car registered to Goodwin was also intentionally set on fire.

Preliminary results from an autopsy have confirmed Goodwin's death as the result of a homicide. Anyone with information about the incident should contact the Leon County Sheriff's Office tip line at 850-606-3600.
