Tallahassee, FL (WTXL) -- Police have identified the man who was shot Monday night on 800 block of Alabama Street around 9:35p.m.
The shooting was reported after a neighbor called 911 when they heard a loud argument. Tallahassee Police say James Byrd Jr. was found lying in the street when patrol officers arrived.
The officers immediately began to give medical aid while waiting for EMS to arrive.
Byrd Jr., was taken to the hospital where he is recovering from his injuries, say local authorities.
