TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - All across our area, people are remembering those who sacrificed their lives for our country on this Memorial Day.
In Tallahassee, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 3308 hosted a service at the Fox Road Cemetery.
The local VFW Post 3308 is one of the only in the U.S. with its own cemetery. About 30 people are buried there.
Leon High School's Marine Junior ROTC helped the VFW mark the solemn occasion, serving as the honor guard for Monday's event.
Organizers say the ceremony was to honor those who gave their lives in service to the country. They say about 100 people were at the cemetery today.
