TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - This weekend, World War II veterans will be recognized and honored on the 70th anniversary of D-Day in Leon County.
Operation Thank You is an event sponsored by Leon County that seeks to honor veterans in the area. The event will take place on Friday, June 6 at 9:00am on the Front Lawn of the Leon County Courthouse.
The event first began in 2012, and each year since, the county has held Operation Thank You events to honor local veterans.
