Valdosta Traffic Stops Lead To Four Meth Possession Arrests

VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office arrested four people on charges of possession of meth.

According to police report, the four arrests were made during three traffic stops. The sheriff's office conducted traffic stops for these three after suspicions that they were involved in making meth, according to the report.

Deputies say that Darrell Smith was stopped on Bemiss Road and arrested on possession of meth, as well as the ingredients to make meth.

Then, the sheriff's office says that Lonnie Powell was stopped on Inner Perimeter Road and arrested for meth possession, possession of ingredients used to make meth, as well as possession of narcotics.

Hancil Thomas and Bucky Ogletree were stopped on Inner Perimeter Road, where deputies say they found meth as well as the products used to make them.

According to the police report, bond was considered Tuesday afternoon for all four arrests.
