VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta Police Department has arrested a 16-year-old for burglarizing two businesses.
VPD said that at around 9:40 a.m., officers were called to the Pizza Quick in Valdosta.
When they got there, they were informed that an unknown suspect had broken into the business.
Officers on scene say that the suspect shattered the front door and had stolen the entire cash register from inside the business.
While the first case was being investigated, a second incident was reported on June 8 around 8:45 a.m. and police say the crime happened much like the first burglary.
VPD says surveillance footage showed the same individual breaking into the business and burglarizing it.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect as a known juvenile. They were eventually able to find the teen Friday morning and he was taken into custody.
The juvenile was turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice where he will now face two counts of burglary.
