VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) -- In an update to a story WTXL broke last week, The Brass Quill Gallery tattoo parlor raised $2,871 in a fundraiser Tuesday for the Orlando shooting victims and their families.
The parlor sold 51 customized tattoos, specially designed by the tattoo artists to honor the victims. All proceeds from the event went to Equality Florida's GoFundMe account set up for the Orlando victims and families. That account has reached more than $5.8 million so far.
The parlor says since some people were unable to give blood to help victims, giving tattoos was another way to show support.
