VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta State University receives a grant from Keep America Beautiful and the Coca-Cola Foundation.
They are distributing more than 3,600 recycling bins to 37 Colleges and Universities. VSU received 30.
The bins will be placed in the athletic areas on campus and used for athletic and outdoor events.
Grant recipients were chosen based on their potential to collect the most cans and bottles.
According to Keep America Beautiful, nearly 45,000 recycling bins - including the 2015 grants - have been placed in the program nationwide since its inception in 2007.
