Valdosta, GA (WTXL)-- Valdosta State University is selected, once again, as 1 of 52 schools to receive grant funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
The school announced today it will receive $50,000 to support students who are making a career switch and pursuing a nursing degree at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
The school was also awarded the grant in the 2013-2014 academic year.
The program, called the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing major lasts 15 months.
Five students will be awarded the $10,000 scholarships in May 2015.
This year, 400 scholarships were awarded by the foundation nationwide.
