VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - A recent Valdosta State University graduate is getting ready to spend a year teaching English in Spain.
Tara Brown earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University in July, according to the university.
Brown will be living with a host family in Barcelona for 10 months while she teaches at a primary school.
This isn't Brown's first time out of the country. VSU says she had the opportunity to participate in numerous study abroad programs while at school.
Brown speaks fluent Spanish and told VSU she thinks this will be an asset while she is teaching.
VSU says Brown is planning on returning to the U.S. in June of 2016 where she will pursue a master's degree in higher education leadership.
