VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) -- After a month-long search, police arrested Eric Sheppard, wanted in connection with carrying a shotgun at Valdosta State University and making threats involving a local high school graduation.
The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office has been actively looking for Sheppard and sought the help of federal marshals, after determining he most likely left Lowndes county.
He was arrested in Tampa without incident and was taken to Hillsborough County Jail. He'll face an extradition hearing there at a later date and will eventually be brought back to Lowndes County to face charges related to the Valdosta State incidents.
