VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) -- A special reception is being held tonight in Tallahassee for students looking to go to college.
Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., VSU hosted a V-State experience reception at the Killearn Country Club.
University representatives are also encouraging students looking to transfer to attend the event as well as adults who have some college credits but never finished their degrees.
Part of the reason the event is being held is to reach out to Florida residents in border communities that would be able to attend VSU at in-state rates.
Florida counties that are eligible for the in-state tuition plans for Valdosta State include Leon, Jefferson, Baker, Hamilton, Madison, and Nassau.
