VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - Valdosta City Schools are adopting a new project, to bring STEM education to grades K-8.
"Project Lead" will begin in Valdosta Elementary and Middle School programs for the 2016-2017 school year.
They're joining more than 6,500 schools across the US that offer the programs.
"Project Lead" will explore topics like robotics, space, and DNA and crime scene analysis.
Students will get to use the same advanced software and tools as the world's leading companies.
Officials say it will allow them to see STEM applications in their everyday lives.
