VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta police are seeking the public's help in finding the man who committed armed robbery at a Mobile One Gas Station.

The clerk said the station at 1310 N. St. Augustine Road was robbed Saturday about 8:45 p.m. by an African American male wearing dark clothes and a white mask or rag over his face.

While holding a handgun, the clerk said, according to a police news release, the suspect approached the clerk, demanded money, jumped over the counter and began taking money from the register. The suspect then grabbed several cartons of cigarettes before fleeing the store on foot.

The Valdosta Police Department says if people have information about the armed robber they should phone Investigative Services at 229-293-3145 or make an anonymous tip at 229-293-3091.
