VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The search is on for three Valdosta men charged with theft after police say the trio rented $40,000 worth of equipment, and then sold it.

According to police, Bobby Richardson and Terrez Ellis rented a forklift, a trench digger, and a generator from a Valdosta company and then that same month, reported the items missing, saying they were stolen from Ellis' home.

However after investigating, police say the men had dropped the equipment off at Desmond Andrews' house in Douglas, Georgia.

Police say they also discovered the men had been doing this same scam in several other Georgia and Florida cities.

If you know where they are or where the rental equipment is, call police at (229) 293-3145.
