Valdosta Police Search for Suspects in Two Separate Shootings

VALDOSTA, GA -- Valdosta Police are investigating two shooting incidents in the city.

The first was an armed robbery the left one man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Police say the shooting happened just after 11 Tuesday night in the 1100 block of West Magnolia Street. According to a police report, the victim told police that someone robbed him at gunpoint and shot him in the shoulder before running away.

Investigators say the suspect is described as a black male between 20 and 30 years old. The victim was treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say a second incident happened around 1:45 a.m. when someone fired shots outside of a car near Tyndall Road.
