VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Two Valdosta Police officers are now back at work after a drug scare.

It happened on Saturday, August 5 when a women reported her boyfriend stole her car. The GPS showed it was in Florida.

A report was made, and the car was put into a system as stolen. The next day, two Valdosta police officers stopped the vehicle on I-75.

The vehicle was searched, and a baggie with white powder was found and turned over to a deputy. That substance was ecstasy.

After being exposed to the baggie, both officers started feeling sick.

They were taken to south Georgia Medical Center to be treated.

Both of the officers tested negative for drug exposure signs.
