VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) - Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying a man accused of holding a woman at knife point, stealing her money and then sexually assaulting her.
According to the Valdosta Police Department, the man seen in the photos grabbed the woman while she was walking to work in downtown Valdosta on November 19.
He took money from the victim and then sexually assaulted her before leaving the scene, says police.
The man is described as African American, 5'4" to 5'7", slim and between the age of 20-30. He was wearing khaki pants, a gray sweatshirt with some black on it and a large coat at the time of the incident.
Anyone who recognizes the man in the photos is asked to call the Persons Crime Unit at 229-293-3145 or leave an anonymous tip at 229-293-3091.
